MXLFG is a free, community server browser and leagues directory for MXGP 26. It is operated by Alex VII ("we", "us", "our"), based in France. The site is a fan-run community project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nacon, Artefacts Studio, Infront Moto Racing, or the MXGP brand.

Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who visits or uses MXLFG at https://mxlfg.com. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.

What we collect and store

You don't need an account to use MXLFG. We collect only what's needed to run the site:

A player identifier and platform username. When you choose a platform username to post a lobby, join one, or chat, we set a single first-party cookie holding an anonymous player ID, the username you chose, your platform and, if you add one, your race number. This is what lets the site recognise your sessions and messages.
Content you create. Lobbies you post (including the lobby settings and the in-game password you enter, which is shown only to players who join your lobby here), chat messages, league submissions (the league name, organiser name, Discord invite, format, rules, logo and any contact email you give us), gallery photos you submit, and any news or moderation actions if you're a moderator. These are stored so the service can function and so other users can see them where intended.
Contact form submissions. If you message us through the contact page, we store the username and email address you give, the message, and any images you include, so we can read and respond.
Technical and log data. Like nearly all websites, our hosting and security providers automatically process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse.
Usage statistics. We count visits and lobbies created so we can see how the site is used. Visit counts are based on a hashed, anonymous identifier and are kept only as daily totals.
Cookies and advertising data. See the Cookies and Advertising sections below.

We do not ask for or intentionally collect sensitive personal information, and we do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

Essential cookie (first-party). The single cookie described above (anonymous player ID, your platform username, platform and race number) is necessary for the board to work: to let you post, join, and chat. Without it, those features can't function.
Preferences stored in your browser. Your theme choice and whether notification sounds are muted are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device.
Advertising cookies (third-party). When advertising is enabled (see below), Google and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads. Our analytics provider, Cloudflare Web Analytics, is privacy-focused and does not use cookies to track you.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential cookie may stop posting, joining, and chat from working.

For visitors in the EU, UK, and EEA (including France): when advertising is enabled, we ask for your consent to non-essential (advertising) cookies through a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) before they are set, and you can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Advertising

We may display ads on MXLFG through Google AdSense, for example in banners or alongside the content.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at youronlinechoices.eu (EU/UK) or aboutads.info/choices (US).

Bot protection

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect form submissions and key actions (contacting us, submitting a league, uploading to the gallery, and moderator login) from spam and automated abuse. Turnstile processes limited technical signals, including your IP address, to tell humans from bots. We don't use it to track you across other sites.

Images you submit

Photos you submit are stored in object storage and shown in the gallery once a moderator approves them. League logos are shown on a league's listing once the league is approved. Only upload images you have the right to share. Don't upload anything that infringes someone else's rights, or that contains other people's personal information without their permission. You can ask us to remove an image you submitted at any time (see Your rights).

Leagues and external links

League listings link to the organiser's own Discord server. Those servers are run by the organisers, not by us, and Discord's own privacy policy applies once you join. A league's organiser name and Discord invite are public; any contact email you give us with a submission is kept private and used only to get in touch about the listing.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that run the site for us:

Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery, storage, security (including Turnstile), and Workers AI, which we use only to translate the news posts we write ourselves. Processes technical data such as IP addresses.
Google AdSense: advertising, when enabled (see Advertising).
Cloudflare Web Analytics: to understand site usage and traffic trends. Cloudflare's analytics is privacy-focused and does not use client-side cookies for tracking.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety, rights, or security of our users and the service.

How long we keep data

Lobbies and their chat are kept while the lobby is active and are removed when it closes or expires. Only anonymous daily totals are kept afterwards.
League listings are kept until the organiser asks us to remove them or we take them down.
Gallery photos and news are kept until you or a moderator remove them.
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and a reasonable period afterward.
Your player cookie lasts until it expires or you clear it.

Your rights

Because we are based in France, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and request data portability.

EU/UK/EEA (GDPR): you can exercise the rights above and, if you're unhappy with how we handle your data, lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In France, that authority is the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés, cnil.fr). Our legal bases for processing are: performance of the service you request, your consent (for non-essential cookies and advertising), and our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure and functioning.
California (CCPA/CPRA): if you're a California resident, you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we don't sell it), and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To make a request, reach us through the contact page. Because there are no accounts, we may need information (such as your platform username or league name) to locate your data.

Children

MXLFG is not intended for children under 15, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 15 (the age of digital consent in France). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, reach us through the contact page and we'll remove it.

Data security

We use reputable providers (Cloudflare and others) and reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and limit what we collect.

International users

MXLFG is operated from France and uses providers that may process data in other countries, including outside the EU/EEA. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on our providers' safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for that transfer. By using the site, you understand your information may be processed outside your home country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be noted on the site. Continued use of MXLFG after an update means you accept the revised policy.
